Celebrate Recovery
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God´s healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery Principles." This experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God´s grace in solving our lives´ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
U3B Celebrate Recovery Mission Statement
U3B Celebrate Recovery will share the freedom from hurts, habits, and hang-ups found in a relationship with Jesus Christ in the small group and large group forum.
Celebrate Recovery meets each Wednesday night at 6:30pm.
Celebrate Recovery Leadership
Lynn Watson is one of the Celebrate Recovery leaders. She started her journey with step study in 2011 which made her take a real look at her life and surrender completely to the Lord in January of 2012. She leads the women’s small group on Wednesday night and step study on Sunday nights. She is married to Jay Watson, the mother to two sons, and LaLa to three grandsons. The battle with alcohol, food, anxiety, and the need to control is being won daily in her life by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jessica Haney is one of our Celebrate Recovery leaders who has been a member of U3B since 2009. She is a married mother of three. Jessica’s life is a true testimony of God’s transforming grace. God has rescued her from the bondage of addiction and restored her family. She is a leader in step study and volunteers in many other areas of the church. Her greatest desire is to snatch others from the fire (Jude 1:23) and help them find hope and freedom!
